Water Park Fun Day at Arlington

Arlington Care Center has been busy celebrating summer and all the fun things that go with it! We hosted our first-ever Water Park Fun Day, and it was a splashing good time! Ice cold water and lemonade were served as the sounds of The Beach Boys and laughter were heard in the background. The dunk tank, fishing pond, lounge poles, ring toss sprinkler, and water balloons were seen throughout our courtyard. Does it get any better?



This idea came about from our Activity Director, Angela. She thought this would be a great way to celebrate the end of summer, National Water Balloon Day, and dog days of summer. Residents and staff joined together to cool off in the many water stations, and even some family members who were visiting that day had a lot of fun watching. This was the first time we did this event, but we will be going even bigger next year since everyone had such a great time. The residents even said they would love to do it again because it made them feel young and was so much fun.

We’d like to give a big shoutout to Arlington’s Activity Department for putting this event together and knocking it out of the park! It's so important to us at Arlington Care Center, especially being a long-term care facility, to do fun activities and events for our residents to enhance their quality of life, get them out of their rooms for some adventure, and provide them with something that brings them joy. We want our facility to be their home away from home.
