National Hairstylist Appreciation Day

In honor of National Hairstylist Appreciation Day, we want to turn the spotlight onto our Beautician, June, and recognize her for the services she provides our residents.

June is a licensed cosmetologist and has been doing hair for our residents for 14 years! Prior to that, she owned a salon, Studio 1 Unisex Salon. June has been a cosmetologist for 42 years. She was inspired to start her career after seeing her older sister excel in the industry. June describes herself as a people person and really enjoys spending time with others. In her free time, she likes to get together with her family and is excited to become a grandma this fall!



June doesn't just do hair for our residents, she spreads her talent and kindness to other facilities and does home visits. One of her favorite things about doing hair in long-term care facilities is getting to know all of the residents and helping them feel good in their own skin. It's so important to offer services that enhance our residents' quality of life, give them a sense of independence and allow them to keep the normal routines they would typically have outside of our facility. June allowing our residents to look and feel their best is a special kind of service that Arlington Care Center proudly offers.

Our in-house salon is open for residents every Tuesday, and June is excited to help with whatever you may be looking for in a hairstyle. Thank you, June, for dedicating your time, compassion, and kindness to our beloved residents. You make a world of difference to more people than you'll ever know.
