Christmas in August!

Arlington Care Center had a great time at our Christmas in JulyAUGUST party! As we always have our focus and attention on our residents, we wanted to show our staff how much we appreciate them by throwing a party just for them! Our residents still got in on the fun and enjoyed sitting back to watch the games.


For this staff party, we recreated a scaled-back version of our annual Christmas party with themed games like a saran wrap ball, family feud, and musical chairs around the Christmas tree. We all shared a laugh as everyone danced around the chairs to "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree." The winners of the games got the opportunity to win even more in the money machine! We also spun a special prize wheel to raffle off prizes at the end.

To give the party a summer vibe, we decorated the tree with bright blue tinsel and pink flamingos. We also enjoyed Subway with chips and pop and finished with vanilla and chocolate cupcakes for dessert (and made sure to add a splash of summer with the festive cupcake toppers as well)!


Not only did the staff have a good time, but some of our residents stuck around and laughed with us as they watched their Aides and Nurses. It was heartwarming watching the residents root them on during the games. There truly is such a special bond between our residents and their caregivers. All in all, this was a fun mid-year event for our staff to enjoy. We are so grateful for everything they do every day!
